Randomly found a guy selling his 1.6 glx M.O.T. fail for 100 quid and i want it.

How much it gona set me back for new set of brake pipes ( per pipe ) and brake pads (per pad) ?
help much apprecated!

brake pads cost me £35ish at my last MOT, the pipes will be more expensive but if that's all that's wrong with it then at £100 it's got to be a bargain.

i paid £15 for a set of front pads. if u buy mitsi brake pipes they cost a fortune, but you can buy a roll of brake pipe and shape them yourself works out alot cheaper

Brake pipes are cheap by the roll. I had to do the same so I changed ALL of mine. You need to buy the right ends though. You also have to buy or borrow a flare/cutting tool.

Easy to do, just a little time consuming.

right ok think im gona go for it can any of you give me a guide on how to make the brake pipes please? dont have the foggest lol and where to buy the right stuff?

Either go to your local motor factors who will supply you a length of copper pipe if you take in sample of the size of your old pipe. Or some companies will custom make you kits, I remember looking into it. As Don said you will need a flaring tool and a pipe bending tool so as not to kink the pipe when bending it. You may also need to drop the fuel tank to run the pipe underneath.
