think im slowy fallin outta love with my colt..
she's just too slow and theres nothing else i can really do to make it any faster, s'already got a full exhaust system on it and induction kit, n then thats all you can do without it getting expensive or messin around with changing engine's etc.
i dont understand why there's so little performance parts for them when mitsubishi's quite a popular name.
no fancy cams, no performance intake manifolds or racey internals,

been lookin at civic si coupes, 160hp vtec 1.6's, get loads of parts for them, pick um up relatively cheap and there already fast standard !

i really dont wanna get rid of the colt because i really like it but she needs to book her idea's up !

someone needs to remind why its awsome or she could be soon getting the boot ! :(

Dunno what to say mate, the cj was never meant to be a beast it's a hatchback for the family and you should love it the way it is, if it's speed your after putting money into a car isnt worth it just buy a faster car, I recommend a civic 1.6 VTI , they can be had for around 2 grand nowdays, still good on fuel, and should tick all your boxes, 0-60 is around 7 or 8 seconds.

I love me colt for what it is, it's has character other cars dont have and gets me about without driving the norm everyone else drives.

yehh i see what your saying, i do like it for what it is dont get me wrong, it drives really well, handles awsome and starts first go despite having 112,000 miles on the clock, looks nice and sounds awsome but think im ready for a change, does seem a shame to sell up like cos i've put some right money into it, wont be for a while yet anyway, need to wait untill november for insurance to go down :)

The colts rarity is reason enough for me to keep mine. Would hate the thought of driving through town in a car that is commonly seen as are civics, golfs and corsas. Imo the colt is the most tuneable hatch out there simply because it shares the front chassis of the evo. What other small hatch lends itself to a plug and play swap of a 2.0 300bhp? Not to mention the interchangeability of parts from across the majority of the mitsi range

Have you thought about a turbo mate? could be the cheapest option for more horses.

Cheapest option for more horses is the 4g93. You can buy the engines for under £150 and they take just two days to swap (maybe just one day if there's two or three of you who know what you're doing)

cant really afford to put a evo engine in though... 2000 for an engine, then u got everything else involved, by the time you done it might aswell of bought an evo.

thought about turbo aswell but seems a lot of money and messin about for not a lot more power

then yeah been thinking about cyborgs aswell, but then theres the finding parts for when it goes wrong.
